Derek thrives in the conference room, energized by helping clients solve challenges and pursue their financial goals. Every day, he has the privilege of guiding families as they plan for the future—whether it’s supporting children through higher education, designing retirement income strategies, or helping pass wealth across generations. For Derek, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing clients take confident steps toward their dreams.
Guided by his life verse, 2 Timothy 2:15, he strives to bring his very best to every situation, handling his work with diligence, honesty, and a steady commitment to doing what is right.

When he's not in the office, Derek can be found exploring the plains of Kansas or the mountains of Wyoming. A dedicated fitness enthusiast and marathon runner, he also enjoys working on farms and spending quality time with friends and his church family. Derek married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, in 1991, and together they have three children: Adeline (married to Perry), Avery (married to Riley), and Anya.
Matt Meek CFP®, EA
Matt joined our Flora office the summer of 2013. As a wealth management advisor, he spends much of time assisting clients with welcomed stress relief. For many, trying to comprehend all the nuances of the financial world is overwhelming – let alone trying to use that information to make decisions about their future! With a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University in Financial Counseling & Planning, Matt is passionate about helping clients pursue the goal of financial independence and is guided by Jeremiah 29:11, believing in the promise of a hope and future.
Matt is an active member of the Delphi Lion’s Club and is a Board Member of the Carroll County Community Foundation. Matt is married to his high school sweetheart, Jenny, and they reside in southern Carroll County with their 4 children. Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, camping, watching, or playing sports, traveling, hiking, and just about anything outdoors. They are very active with their Northview church family.
Avery Fisher
Avery joined our firm of advisors in the spring of 2025, bringing fresh perspective and unstoppable energy to the Lafayette branch of Fisher Financial. With a background in medicine, his leap into wealth management surprised everyone—even his dad, Derek! Drawing from years of observing the family business, Avery spent the summer mastering licensing exams and immersing himself in the world of finance. By August 2025, he was ready to lead, guiding clients with knowledge, enthusiasm, and a clear vision.
Avery and his wife, Riley, embrace life outdoors, filling their days with hunting, backpacking, boating, and water sports. With a degree in Biology, Avery is deeply passionate about ecology and conservation. Together, he and Riley alternate teaching high school theology and serving on the worship team at church, blending service, faith, and leadership.
What drives Avery most is bringing his passion for investing to his clients. Viewing money as a gift from God, he is committed to helping clients use their resources to achieve their dreams while making a meaningful impact on their community. His life is anchored in Ephesians 4:6, reminding him that God is over all, through all, and in all—shaping how he serves both clients and community with humility and purpose.
Amber Richardson
Amber, a resident of Bringhurst, joined our team in August 2023. She married her husband, Grant, in 2009, and together they have four children who keep them busy with sports and other extracurricular activities. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming, and raising and showing swine. Amber loves volunteering with her community youth group and enjoys exercising, reading, and taking on new challenges. Amber is passionate about making a difference and embraces every opportunity with energy and enthusiasm. Her life verse is James 1:2-4: " Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
